Enrol Now: Digital Media Education Training (15–19 September 2025)

Building digital resilience for the next generation.

In a digital age where young people face unprecedented challenges, from misinformation and security to wellbeing, and where the role of institutions such as schools and churches is more important than ever, CAMECO, together with TULIP (and supported by BEGECA), invites educators, youth ministers, media professionals, and all those concerned with the digital wellbeing of young people to take part in the Digital Media Education Training, held online from 15–19 September 2025.

This five-day virtual course equips participants with essential tools to help guide and protect youth navigating digital culture. The training will be conducted fully online, with live interpretation in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. The participation fee is €150.

Program Overview

Participants will explore a spectrum of critical topics through expert-led sessions and interactive mentorship, including:

  • Digital Wellbeing in an Age of Mobile Connectivity
  • Artificial Intelligence in Education: Opportunities & Challenges
  • Identifying Fake News & Fact-checking
  • Catholic Perspectives on Digital Wellbeing as a new pastoral task
  • Cyberpsychology in the Digital Age
  • Safeguarding the Youth
  • The role of parents in Digital Media Education

These themes combine theoretical understanding with practical application, reinforced through mentorship sessions, to support youth-centred digital education.

Why This Training Matters

Digital culture impacts every aspect of our lives, and even more so the lives of young people, from their mental health to how they discern truth online. This training helps bridge that gap by equipping participants with the skills to support young people, while also recognising their capacity and independence in a digital world that evolves every day.

Real Voices from the Previous Training Programme

The training gained profound appreciation from its first cohort. This is what participants said:

“We learned how to teach critical thinking behind the communications we receive.”

“The training raised awareness of the psychological damage social media can bring to children and how to help them discern.”

“I became aware of how to guide the young generation to be safe online and responsible in using social media.”

“My gratitude to the team for imparting tools I can implement in my apostolate. It was GREAT!”
