Talent campus for young filmmakers from CEE postponed

Due to Corona restrictions, “ Faith Stories: Talent Campus for Young Filmmakers” had to be postponed until further notice. Financed by the USCCB Subcommittee on Aid to the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, CAMECO was mandated with the preparation and implementation of the workshop for advanced filmmakers. Fourteen individual filmmakers and/or teams of two people (i.e. director/scriptwriter or camera operator/producer) will learn from award-winning colleagues how to improve storytelling, taking into account specific formats (video clips, short feature or short documentary film, etc.), primary audiences and platforms for promotion and distribution. They will be enabled to realistically calculate the costs of their productions, and will gain information about existing funding mechanisms and sources. At the end of the workshop, they should also be able to successfully pitch their film projects. The training course has three phases - two attendance phases in Split (Croatia) – and an intermediary period with online mentoring, during which candidates develop their scripts and start production of trailers, or sequences of the film or the video clip. As soon as the travel restrictions are lifted, the course will be advertised again. Further enquiries should be addressed to: (asj)
